ANARC Stewards Training, the innovative off-road skills training event, returns for 2026. Stewards Training provides a framework of core course experiences that are designed to maximize a participant’s experiential learning that can be taken back to the clubs they represent. The intent is that the Stewards will assume the role of educator and leader in the principles learned during the Stewards Training.

What is an ANARC Steward?
-
Anyone can be a Steward, however one of the core guiding principles is that it is someone who can be viewed as the future of your individual club. This implies that the participant is an active, consistent attender and contributor to the club’s activities. The participant ideally is willing to take on roles of leadership and educator; this means they display an interest and aptitude for those roles as well as a firm belief in safe, responsible use of vehicles and the environment.

Training Selection and Key Selection Characteristics. We encourage all ANARC member clubs to send us their best.

Peer to Peer Leadership to develop the club leader. ANARC Stewards is a comprehensive, peer-leader development program, equipping club representatives with practical off-road, leadership, medical, and communication skills. Stewards return to their local communities empowered to promote safe and responsible Land Rover events while fostering fellowship and stewardship.
Professional instructors will be on-hand to conduct four intensive training sessions. Participants will be strategically divided into four groups, balancing skill sets and vehicle types.
