May Seattle Gathering

Registration is closed

We are going to the Museum of History and Industry (MOHAI) at the south end of Lake Union. This is another free First Thursday museum. We are planning for dinner afterward at Señor Moose in Ballard.

The particulars:

MOHAI

860 Terry Avenue

Seattle

The Museum is located at the edge of the new and improved Mercer Mess, so if coming I-5, I suggest exiting at Mercer, immediately turning right onto Fairview Avenue heading north, and then immediately turning left onto Valley Street, taking you by the Museum. This avoids most of the Mess.

There is limited, pay parking immediately south of the Museum. A better bet is parking at the AGC Building, fairly close by, just up Westlake Avenue. Get a parking ticket there and bring it to the Museum, where it can be validated for up to 10 hours parking for $5.00. There is also some parking in front of the retail locations along the west shore of Lake Union, but this is pay to park at City of Seattle rates.

Señor Moose

5242 Leary Way NW

Seattle/Ballard

We have a reservation at 7:00 p.m. This is a Mexican restaurant—food is creative, quite good, and we think fairly authentic—too bad Peter and Ramey Lynch cannot be here to verify that for us. Plus, Mexican beer is $4.00; a variety of Margaritas start at $8.95. Children welcome.

The restaurant is fairly small. We want to make sure we have seating for all of us, but also are not over-committing and taking space the restaurant could otherwise use for other patrons.

So, I know this is contrary to our culture, but PLEASE RSVP to william.neal@stokeslaw.com so we can be as accurate as possible for our reservation. Contact information is below. Thank you.

Finally, let’s show our colors by wearing something “Land Rover-ish”. I’m sure there will be some new faces attending.
