Seattle Snow Run

  • 8:00 AM - 9:00 PM
  • 429 Croft Avenue, Gold Bar 98251

Registration

Registration is closed

We will start at the Wallace Falls Café, 429 Croft Avenue, Gold Bar  98251--allow an hour or maybe a bit more to get there from Seattle.  There will be a drivers’ meeting at 8:45, departing at 9:00.  There will not be a fuel stop after leaving the Café--fuel is available at a Texaco station near the Café, as well as at stations near the traffic circle on Highway 2 west of town.

Vehicles need real snow tires, chains (not cables) for at least one axle, and solid recovery points front and rear.  Bring a shovel suitable for moving snow under or around a vehicle and available recovery gear.  A can of extra fuel would be good.  As always, bring warm clothing, etc.  A CB radio would be helpful.

The Wallace Falls Café opens at 7:00.  There is no reservation for the Club or any group table, but we have advised that we will be coming.  If the parking lot is full, there is additional parking at the City park across the street from the Café.

We are not planning a bonfire.  We are planning a-trail stop around noon or so to regroup and allow people to consume food and beverages they may have brought with them.  We are anticipating a mid-afternoon conclusion for the event, with an on-your-own stop afterward at Rico’s Pizza, 40709 State Route 2, Gold Bar  98251, east edge of town, for those who are interested.

NOTE:  A Northwest Forest Pass is required.  Please check on-line.  Day and annual passes are available.  I understand Passes may be purchased at the Gold Bar Family Grocer and the Gold Bar Market--anyone doing so should confirm in advance, as well as the hours of operation.
